Tesla Window Tint in Riverside, CA
We tint more Teslas than any other vehicle. Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck, including the full windshield and the glass roof. Every Tesla is tinted start to finish by the same experienced installer, working solo on pieces most shops need two people to handle, with ceramic film that keeps the cabin cool and the phone key, GPS and LTE working normally.
Why Tesla Owners Choose PGR
Teslas are the car we work on most, so the quirks are second nature: frameless door glass, huge curved rear glass, glass roofs that run the length of the cabin, and windshields full of cameras. We know where the clips are, how the trim comes off, and how each piece of glass wants to be shrunk.
One installer handles your whole car, from the first wipe of the glass to the final inspection. That includes the full windshield and the glass roof, the two largest and most curved pieces on the car, which many shops only take on with two people. Nobody hands your car off halfway through, and the person you talk to at drop off is the person who did the work.
Why Teslas Run Hot
The glass roof is one of the best parts of owning a Tesla, and also the reason the cabin heats up fast on a sunny day. The factory glass has some protection built in, but owners regularly tell us their heads and shoulders still feel the sun, and the climate system has to work harder to keep up, which uses battery.
Ceramic film on the side windows, rear glass, roof and windshield cuts that heat significantly. Because the film has no metal in it, the phone key, GPS, LTE connection and Sentry Mode cameras all keep working exactly as before.
Model 3 Window Tint
The Model 3 has a glass roof over the front seats and one long piece of rear glass that sweeps back over the rear seats. That rear glass is one of the most curved pieces of glass on any car we tint, and it is shrunk and installed as a single piece so there are no seams across the back. Most Model 3 owners go with ceramic on all the sides and rear, a legal shade on the front doors, and ceramic film on the roof for heat.
Model Y Window Tint
The Model Y has one large panoramic glass roof and a rear hatch window. The roof lets in a lot of light and heat, which makes roof film one of the most noticeable upgrades for Model Y owners. The rear hatch glass is steeply curved and fit as one piece. We tint more Model Ys than any other car, so the patterns, trim and shrinking are dialed in.
Model S Window Tint
The Model S has frameless doors, a long rear liftback window and, depending on the year, a glass roof or a solid roof. We match the pattern to your exact year so the film follows the edges of the glass cleanly, and we treat the rear liftback glass as one continuous piece.
Model X Window Tint
The Model X has the biggest windshield of any car we tint. It sweeps up over the front seats, so the sun hits you from above as well as in front. Clear heat rejecting film on that windshield makes a huge difference in comfort. The Falcon Wing door windows and rear glass get ceramic film in the shade you choose, with the front doors kept California legal.
Cybertruck Window Tint
The Cybertruck has large flat side glass, a steep windshield and a big glass roof. We tint the sides, rear glass and roof with ceramic film and can add a sun strip or clear heat rejecting film on the windshield. Ask about pairing tint with paint protection film to protect the stainless body panels from rock chips and scratches.
Glass Roof and Full Windshield Tint
We tint Tesla glass roofs with ceramic film that rejects heat while keeping the roof bright. You can choose a light film that mostly targets heat, or a darker shade for more shade overhead. California does not restrict roof glass the way it restricts the front windows, so the roof is where you can go as dark as you like.
On the windshield, California allows a non reflective sun strip along the top 4 inches. For the rest of the glass we install clear heat rejecting windshield film that cuts heat and UV without darkening your view, and we cut it around the Autopilot cameras and rain sensor so every driver assist feature keeps working.
Frameless Doors and Careful Handling
Tesla doors use frameless glass that drops slightly when the door opens. We work around the seals and trim with care so nothing is pried, scratched or bent, and patterns are computer cut for your exact model and year so no blades come near your paint or trim.
Pair Tint With PPF and Ceramic Coating
Rock chips on the front end are a common worry for Tesla owners. Many book window tint together with paint protection film on the front end and ceramic coating on the rest of the car, so the whole vehicle is protected in one visit. Ask about combining services when you get your quote.

Tesla Window Tint FAQ
Do you tint every Tesla model?
Yes. We tint the Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck, including the glass roof and full windshield.
Should I tint my Tesla glass roof?
If the cabin feels hot in the sun, yes. Ceramic roof film cuts the heat noticeably while keeping the roof bright. You can pick a light or dark shade.
Can you tint the full Tesla windshield?
Yes. We install a sun strip along the top 4 inches and clear heat rejecting film on the rest of the windshield, cut around the Autopilot cameras and sensors.
Will tint affect my phone key, LTE or Sentry Mode?
No. We use metal free ceramic film, so the phone key, GPS, LTE and cameras work normally.
Who will be working on my Tesla?
One experienced installer handles your car from start to finish, including the windshield and glass roof.
How long does a Tesla tint take?
Most full Tesla installs are done the same day. Adding the glass roof or full windshield adds some time because of their size and curve.
Can I book tint, PPF and ceramic coating together?
Yes. Many Tesla owners do all three, and we schedule the work in the right order in one visit.
